Dental Implants: Lifelike, Long-Lasting New Teeth

A dental implant is a titanium post that acts as an artificial tooth root. A crown, bridge, denture or new set of teeth is attached to implants to provide a very stable and long-lasting tooth replacement.

Skilled dental implant specialists

Dr. Tanur and Dr. Ovadia are highly trained specialists in the placement of dental implants. Both doctors are Diplomates of the American Board of Periodontology. Only 10% of periodontists have earned this status, which is granted only after passing a thorough and rigorous exam on dental implant procedures and other aspects of periodontics.

The Benefits of Dental Implants

Dental implants look and function like natural teeth, offering clear advantages over other replacement options:

Restore full chewing and biting power, so you can eat a wide variety of foods.

Prevent bone loss and preserve facial structure by stimulating the jawbone.

Unlike a dental bridge, also used to replace teeth, there is no need to shave down adjacent teeth.

Fill gaps to reduce the risk of gum disease and protect surrounding teeth.

Support clear speech and confident smiles.

Existing teeth shift due to bone loss when teeth are left unreplaced.

Comfortable, minimally invasive dental implant procedure

Dental implant placement is a precise procedure that requires thorough diagnostics and planning. Dr. Tanur and Dr. Ovadia use advanced technology to ensure your dental implant treatment is efficient, accurate, minimally invasive and comfortable.

  • Precise diagnostics with 3D imaging

We begin with thorough diagnostics to ensure your implant treatment can be precisely planned. We use our cone beam 3D CT scanner to produce a composite 360° 3D X-ray image of your jaw, teeth and related structures.

The doctors use the images to determine the best position for the implant, assess the amount of bone available at the placement site, and evaluate the condition of your gum tissue. Using this data, the doctors determine how the implant can be safely and stably placed, as well as whether any bone grafting will be necessary.

  • Surgical guides for precise implant placement

The doctors plan the exact placement of the implant using the 3D images and implant planning computer software. Using the information and virtual reconstruction from the software, they manufacture a computer-generated surgical guide that fits over the dental arch as a template for the exact location, position and angulation for implant placement. They place the implant through the guide, making the procedure quick, accurate and minimally invasive for their dental implant patients.

  • Easy and comfortable dental extractions

When a tooth needs to be extracted before an implant is placed, the dentist uses a special instrument to gently detach the tooth from the socket and vertically remove it. The vertical extraction causes little or no damage to the surrounding gum and bone tissue, swelling is minimized, and healing time is significantly reduced.

  • State-of-the-art bone grafting

Where inadequate bone is present to support an implant properly, Dr. Tanur or Dr. Ovadia will graft bone material into the implant site to regenerate the needed bone. They use the latest developments in bone grafting materials and procedures for minimally invasive bone regeneration.

    About Our Bone Grafting Process
  • Growth proteins to speed healing and increase predictability

When needed, the doctors will add special growth proteins to the tissues at the surgical site. These proteins accelerate healing, prevent infection, reduce swelling, and enhance the success of the dental implant procedure.

  • Immediate temporary teeth the same day

When your implant is placed in a visible area of your smile, you will receive a temporary restoration tooth to ensure your smile is preserved while the implant heals. The doctors also provide a provisional denture after implants are placed, which is used for new implant-supported dentures.

Your final restorations will be placed after your implants have fully healed and integrated.

  • Keeping you comfortable

We take every measure to ensure your implant treatment is always as comfortable as possible. Both our doctors always explain exactly what will happen during treatment and answer any questions, so you are at ease. You can also call our office at any time, even after hours, if you have any concerns or questions about your dental implants.

  • Your beautiful new teeth

Our doctors ensure your new teeth are both functional and beautiful. They place the implant so your bite will be comfortable and so the new teeth align with your other teeth. They also place the implant in a way that allows for easy cleaning.

For the creation of your new teeth, Dr. Tanur and Dr. Ovadia partner with top restorative dentists or prosthodontists (prosthodontists are specialists in the creation of prosthetic teeth). This ensures that your new teeth will be completely natural in both appearance and function.

  • Helping patients receive implants

Dr. Tanur and Dr. Ovadia have made it easy for you to afford dental implants. Our office provides numerous payment options. Our treatment coordinator can assist you with financing and insurance, as needed, to help you receive the care you need.
  • Who are candidates for Dental Implants?

Due to advances in technology, most people can now successfully receive dental implants. Dr. Ovadia and Dr. Tanur Answer Your Questions About Dental Implants

Implants are very predictable and reliable. They generally last much longer than a traditional bridge or dentures. With proper care, implants can last a lifetime.

Due to our advanced technology and the availability of oral sedation and nitrous oxide, the procedure is comfortable and minimally invasive. It’s much more comfortable than people expect.

Dental implants are the closest replacement available for your natural teeth. They’re anchored directly into the jawbone, just like a natural tooth root, which gives them excellent stability and strength. They look, feel, and function so much like real teeth that most patients forget which teeth are implants after a while.

Dental implants are one of the most predictable treatments in dentistry, with success rates typically above 95%. Of course, every patient is different, but with today’s techniques and technology, implants are a very safe and reliable solution. The best way to determine how well you will receive dental implants is to schedule a consultation.
