PROCESS
New Teeth in One Day Procedure
The doctor places dental implants in strategic locations on the upper and lower arch to act as maximum support for a new set of teeth. Usually four to six implants are placed on an arch, the amount depending on how much bone is available.
Precise dental implant planning and preparation
To determine the number of implants to be placed and the best placement positions, the doctor takes a 3D CT scan. The 3D images created by the scan show where the bone is strongest and provides the greatest stability. From these images the doctor will plan precisely where the implants will be placed and how many implants will be used. Any bone grafting needed to augment the stability of any implants is planned at the same time.
Quality, beautiful new teeth in a single day
Our doctors work with top prosthodontists to create your new teeth. A prosthodontist is a specialist in making dental restorations. The prosthodontist will take the dental impressions needed for your new restorations and will make your temporary and final teeth.Your new teeth can be made out of a variety of materials, such as high-quality acrylic, porcelain or zirconia. The doctor will tell you which options will work for you based on your specific circumstances. He will give you the pros and cons of each of your options so you can make an informed choice.Implants and new teeth in the same day
On the day of your procedure, Dr. Tanur or Dr. Ovadia will extract any remaining teeth and place the necessary implants. After the implants are placed, the doctors will securely attach attractive temporary new teeth.
Comfort and Sedation
For patients who need extra help to relax, we offer several options. There are blankets and pillows for you during your procedure. Our friendly staff will gladly help you with any questions or needs. As for sedation options, we may provide nitrous oxide laughing gas, oral conscious sedation or IV sedation depending on your circumstances.
Your Final New Teeth and Follow-Up
Dr. Ovadia or Dr. Tanur will see you in regular follow-up visits over the next three months to monitor the healing of the implants. Initially they will give you instructions on what you can eat and how to care for your temporary teeth while your implants are healing.
The prosthodontist will create your final teeth while your implants are healing. Your final permanent new teeth will be designed so that they are natural-looking and aesthetic.
When your Implants are fully healed, your final teeth will be fixed in. They will look totally natural and will function like regular teeth. You will be able to eat the foods you like and you will be able to speak and smile with confidence!
